My Nearly There Dream House

The house I am living in now is beautiful, with beautiful walnut stair parts installed on my staircase. There are just a couple things that I would like to change. First of all, my house was built in the 1950's, so most of the colors and carpets are not something I would pick out in the first place to be in my house. I would start ripping up the carpet in the living room and dining room. My house is a bi-level so I probably would tear up the carpet going up stairs into the hall. This would probably show the nice hardwood floor in the house and I would just end up putting an area rug in the dining room. The next thing I would do is replace the ceiling fan on the beam in between the living room and dining room to give my house that "luxurious" feeling I like. The last thing that I would do would have to end with removing the wall paper and applying a fresh coat of white paint to all the walls and the ceilings. That would be a start to my house made into my dream house.
