My favorite piece of jewelry would have to be a pair of earrings I own. They have silver hooks and I use plastic backings to secure them. These are fairly dangly earrings. They have alternating white and black diamonds, and they are about three inches long. The diamonds are in a circular shape, and are stud-like. Another favorite pair of earrings that I own would have to be my sapphire ones. These are pure sapphire, and are about the size of my thumb – pretty big! They are in the shape of a star. I have some costume jewelry that I use around October. These are little plastic gravestones with my initials on them. They’re kind of morbid, but cute. I love wearing them around Halloween. For the rest of autumn, I have some beautiful gold leaf earrings. They’re clusters of leaves, in various shades of gold, ruby, and orange.
I also enjoy making my own jewellery with my jewellery making supplies from time to time. |

Because we wear shoes nearly all the time, it is important for us to have some class when it comes to shoes. I have a lot of pairs at home, and it always takes me a long time to decide which to wear - should I go with my Rieker sandals or my Nike trainers?
You see - shoes show you a bit of a person's personality, a bit of themselves. If you see someone with trainers, your firsthand opinion will be that this person is very sporty and fit. Now, if the same person wore sandals, you would probably think that he/she is a lazy, laidback type of person. I usually wear big shoes, like reebok. I really feel that I get a little bit taller, and I like that. I am not a small person, but that inch extra is just perfect. I don't run that much, I'm more like that laidback person, so the shoes for me should be big and nice.

I work with fabrics all day in my line of work - from bridal lace fabric to denim to leather. As to my favorite? My favorite type of fabric to wear as clothing is cotton, hands down. Cotton fabric is so comfortable and often is spun into a fine soft thread for a beautiful hand and feel. Taking cotton a step further, organic cotton is a popular fabric in clothing these days. My softest pajama pants are made from organic cotton. They are so comfortable and have lasted me a long time. I bought them five or six years ago and they haven't worn out yet, despite being worn frequently. Clothing material made from cotton is more breathable than synthetic fabrics, allowing air to flow through the weave, and thus is cooler when worn in the summer. Cottons are also versatile. A crisp starched shirt serves as the perfect dressy attire, while a soft T-shirt-like fabric, great for lounging around the house, can be 100% cotton as well. For its softness, versatility, and more, I’d choose cotton for my favorite clothing material any day! |

Everyone has their weaknesses for me it is my evening bags. I seem to buy a new one all the time. However, I use them all too. I do not just buy them and stick them in a closet for the rest of my life. My husband is a sports reporter so we get to go to events all the time, so of course a different look requires a different bag. He laughs at me all the time telling me I am the most fashionable arena attendee he has ever seen in his life. But at least I color coordinate my bags with my outfits it is not like I wear purple with a green bag or anything. I guess I figure it this way if I continue to buy evening bags I do need to downsize my collection a bit. Maybe I will take them to a battered woman's shelter or something. They would feel good with a nice bag too.

Sometimes you have an accessory that you can wear all the time. For me, that accessory is my white pashmina. It is soft and light, and it reminds me of a small, innocent child. White is a great color, as it goes with most outfits. White looks particularly great with black or blue, but it can also be worn with green, red, yellow, and any other color of the rainbow. Moreover, white is a color for all seasons. White is a nice color in the winter because you can feel like a winter wonderland when you go outside and match the snow. White is a great color to wear in the summer because it is light, reflecting the carefree, colorful season. In addition, lighter colors are much better than dark colors in the summer, so you do not overheat. If you are looking to dress up an outfit, throwing a simple white pashmina around your neck is the perfect way to spice up your look. Whether you are going for a casual look or something more dressy, a white pashmina can be the icing on the cake that is your outfit. |

While my wife thinks she's the only one interested in fashion in our house - with her Fever dresses (her latest obsession) and jewellery - I have my own tastes as a man. I have always liked men’s ties. These fashion items have many purposes not just for fashion. For starters they make great last minute gifts. Growing up I think I gave my father several various ties for Christmas and his birthday. As I got older I found a nice tie can bring a whole outfit together. As a child I could never tie my own s it was the clip on tie for me. Eventually I graduated from the clip on to a full real tie that you tie yourself. Growing up in the 80s by the time I hit high school, the dance scene was all the rage so a thin silk tie was perfect for any get up. Then as I got even older and found my way into marketing education, I found a tie could make or break a job interview. This was something I never forgot, so I would start ironing my ties and hanging them. Even today I still need help tying my own tie. |

I am always on a mission to find the perfect shoe. Being on my feet a lot and loving the outdoors requires a comfortable, durable and nice looking shoe. While I love things like wedge shoes and other "girly" designs, I really need something super-practical. One that I can wear all day. I found it quite formidable to find all of these features in a quality shoe. Many great looking shoes fall short on wearability, and those that are long lasting are often, well, downright ugly. My quest led me through several well known brands and left me a little disappointed and more than a few dollars short. Then one day I was enlightened by my daughter, that many nurses, herself included, loved Merrell shoes for their durable comfort. So, I soon had my own Merrell trail hiking shoes. Merrell has great looking, cute styles. But, would they keep me going, I wondered. I took them out on the trails. I took them shopping. I worked in them. And they kept me going, in comfort. So now, Merrell is my shoe brand and they are worth every penny.

I do have a passion for all kinds of fashion accessories - from chunky necklaces to pashminas to evening bags. But my favourite? Shoes. I love good shoes and when it comes to high quality there is nothing that beats Van Bommel. This is a wonderful hand-made shoe from the Netherlands. I have bought many dress shoes in the past, and they were never cheap, but these shoes are in a different class. Just when you look at them you can see the quality. The hand-stitched seams, the hand-cut leather, the elegant little patterns stitched into the rims. They don’t come cheap, but they are extremely comfortable, they look great and by buying these shoes you know that you have the best the shoe industry has to offer. They will last for many years and when the soles are worn out, they are easily repaired. They are stylish, they are timeless and they are the best quality money can buy, what else do you want from a shoe? I will never buy another brand again I will only choose the best from now on.
